MOTIVATION

Furlenco is an online furniture and appliances rental platform established in 2012. It allows users to subscribe to different subscription models and rent furniture, appliances, home decor items, and more at great prices.

In this project, I have conducted the WCAG 2.1 Evaluation of furlenco.com primarily on the alt-text and contrast issues present in the website and have recommended changes.

WCAG Evaluation Results

I evaluated the above three mentioned pages of furlenco.com using accessibility evaluation tools and manual testing to find out the contrast issues and alt-text issues on the page.

CONTRAST ISSUES

All the pages that have been evaluated had many instances where the contrast between text and its background or the UI components and the background was less than the recommended 4.5:1 for small text.

1. Home Page

2. Product Page

3. Cart Page (Payment)

My Reflections

Moving on, there are few things I would like to do next -

1. Carry out a complete WCAG 2.1 evaluation by testing the website on other guidelines.

2. Give suggestions and create design mock-ups based on the evaluation conducted above.
